16:10 Fireside chat: De-Risking the road from Baku to Belem
There is a pivotal opportunity to build on the momentum from COP29 in Baku as we head toward COP30 in Belém. In Baku, key milestones were reached including progress on the new global climate finance goal, operationalising Article 6, and advancing the Loss and Damage Fund.

Critically, the role of insurance and de-risking was also elevated on the global climate agenda. Now, the path from Baku to Belém must shift from dialogue to delivery, with a focus on turning commitments into action.

This discussion will explore how to turn the ambition of the Paris Agreement into accelerate implementation across sectors and geographies, with a special focus on the insurance sector as a critical but underutilised ally to remove key barriers to action and the flows of climate finance at the speed and scale required.
16:30 Panel discussion: Evolving landscapes - quantifying risk and resilience to mobilise investment in nature and agriculture
This panel will explore the critical first step in unlocking the investment needed to secure the resilience of our natural assets, and how we accelerate the adoption of nature-positive practices. What do we need to quantify the risks facing nature and agriculture?

How do we provide much-needed security and confidence to actors across agriculture and nature-based value chains? Addressing this challenge is essential to bridging the gap between environmental ambition and financial action.
