Health and safety

The appropriate risk and health & safety assessments have been carried out for this event, and there will be on-site marshals and first aiders throughout the event.

All participants will be invited to join a briefing call ahead of the event (recording made available to those unable to attend), with a reminder shared on the day.

All participants take part at their own risk and will be required to complete a waiver upon registration/arrival.

On-site physio

Physio services will also be available on-site throughout - you will be able to book an appointment at the registration desk during the event.

Insurance

Howden do not have specific insurance cover in place to cover accidental injury at this event. Ahead of the event, we recommend that all third party participants check that they have appropriate cover in place to protect them in case an accident does happen, either through their employer or independently (including, for example, Income Protection, Healthcare, Personal Accident cover).

Bike hire

You can hire a bike for the event from Just Pedal.

Bikes will be delivered directly to Goodwood in the morning on Thursday 16 July before the start of the event. There will be a bike mechanic from JustPedal on site throughout the entire duration of the event.

How to ride safely

All riders must wear helmets on the track
Riders should not wear earphones/buds & can strap a speaker onto their bikes for music instead
Riders should not drink alcohol and ride
Riders are advised to use lights when riding at night time

Food and drink

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the day to all riders, as well as drinks and snacks such as high protein energy bars.

We also recommend bringing your own snacks/high energy bars as well!

Q&A session

Mark Colgate and the Goodwood events team will hold a Q&A session for all riders to provide an overview of the event and answered any burning questions - look out for an invite to this ahead of the event.
