You are welcome to use the paddock shelters or Jackie Stewart Pavilion for drying clothes.
How is each individual riders distance tracked?
You have bike number boards that will go on the front of the bike to indicate the number and then seat post stickers that will wrap around the seat post and this is what has the timing chip on (this also has te number on it). These will be provided at registration.
Is the overall team distance a simple aggregate of each individual team-member’s distance?
Race timing solution system will calculate how many laps each person has done (and what team they are a part of), the cyclists have to cross the mats to start and then cross again after the route and that will calculate a lap. They will have a setting set up on our system that will be able to calculate the winning teams.
In the event that I have just more than 12 people keen to participate, can we bring the additional 1 or 2 people on the day to cover for last-minute drop-outs/ injuries?
Yes of course, feel free to bring additional team members if they take part in the race. Although, this person will need to have contributed to the fundraising target / average per team.
